Description:
The design and construction of automated technological infrastructure for an 88 km section of the Latvia-Russia land border (Phase 3 – 37 km; Phase 4 – 51 km).
The technological solution involves the complex and sophisticated development of information and communication infrastructure. This infrastructure includes:
- Optical fiber cable network (including electronic communications network cable ducts)
- Power supply network
- Video surveillance poles
- Data transmission network
- Perimeter surveillance equipment (video surveillance)
- Other related infrastructure
The development of the technological infrastructure will enable the State Border Guard to respond in real time to threats such as hybrid warfare, organized crime, illegal migration, and other security risks, in accordance with national security and border control regulations. It is an integral part of the infrastructure necessary for the protection of the national land border.
