SIA Citrus Solutions participated in the creation of the multifunctional shopping center “Akropole” with shopping and entertainment functions. From the design stage under the direction of the “Sarma & Norde architects”. At the construction phase, in cooperation with the construction company “MERKS”, we were entrusted with the construction of several building engineering systems:
• Fire Detection System (UAS)
• Smoke Extraction Control System (VAS DA)
• Fire Alert System (UIS)
We are proud that we have put all our experience and knowledge into the creation of such an important facility. The “Akropole” is one of the most modern shopping and entertainment centers in the Baltics, offering visitors an unprecedented shopping experience as well as exciting recreational and entertainment opportunities. The latest architectural and interior trends here combine with the historical heritage of the Kuznetsov porcelain factory, making the “Akropole” a desirable destination for every Riga resident and city guest. It combines the most popular brands in the world and Latvia, as well as a wide range of entertainment options – a skating rink, a movie theater, bowling, dining in a variety of restaurants, and spending time with family in the extensive children’s entertainment area. The total area of the “Akropole” will be around 98,000 m2, of which approximately 10,00
0 m2 will be occupied by high-end offices.
The historical heritage of the territory was also of great importance in the development of a multifunctional center – earlier the Kuznetsovsky Porcelain and Faience Factory was located on the territory. Each visitor to the shopping center will be able to feel the spirit of the Kuznetsov Porcelain Factory – inspired by the old factory building, the “old city” zone was created in the building of the shopping center, where copies of old brick buildings are depicted. The design of the building includes the main elements of the former factory – two factory pipes and the logo of the Kuznetsov Factory on one of the facades.
“Akropole” is the first shopping center in Latvia to receive the prestigious BREEAM certificate at the design stage of the building. This certificate confirms the compliance of the project with high standards of energy efficiency and sustainability, offering friendly solutions for citizens and the environment.
The multifunctional center “Akropole” is a subsidiary of the “Akropolis Group”. “Akropolis Group”is a group of companies that manage real estate development, rental of shopping centers and property management. Currently, “Akropolis Group” operates three shopping centers in Lithuania and “Akropole” in Riga.
